Richardson Cup Semi-Final Update

Our semi-final match in Hamilton proved to be extremely tight, the final score being 4-4. Elaine Bamber was our heroine, beating Pat Coffey. Larry Kirk won by default, in effect (his opponent having to leave after playing just one move, due to a family emergency). The remaining games ended with two losses and four draws. Fortunately, we won the match on board count.

So we have reached the final for the first time in six years.

PS: In the other semi-final, Edinburgh thrashed Edinburgh West 6.5-1.5. So the final will be Edinburgh v Polytechnic, to be held in the Adam Smith Theatre, Kirkcaldy, on 15 April starting at 12:00.
