Parking & Traffic Problems

Access and Parking problems close to Wellington Church

University Avenue is part closed with a contraflow in place *..   This has restricted the available parking places close to the Wellington Church as well as slowing traffic.  If travelling to Glasgow Poly by car, I suggest you allow extra time.  There is free on-street parking on Kelvin Way in the evenings.

UNIVERSITY AVENUE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

Please note there are now temporary traffic measures in place to manage the flow of vehicles on University Avenue during work taking place on the new pedestrian crossing outside the Main Gate.

The westbound carraigeway has closed first, this will be followed by the eastbound carriageway, with the programme due to be completed in October this year.

Whilst the Main Gate is closed, access will be available via the South Gate at Dumbarton Road (entry/exit) and Pearce Lodge (entry only).

Please direct queries towards the University’s Traffic and Security team.
