Poly Open Quickplay: April 2017

Quickplay information

Our 2016-17 season will end with the Quickplay on Thursday 27 April.

This event is open to all chessplayers.

The venue will be Wellington Church Hall, 77 Southpark Avenue, Glasgow G12 8LE.

The format will be a 5-round Swiss system. In each round, the player will have 15 minutes to complete all moves.

The entry fee will be £5.00, payable at 19:00. (Please bring the exact change.)

Play will start at about 19:15.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the leading players. There will also be at least one grading prize.

Results will be submitted to Chess Scotland for grading purposes.

Please register in advance by e-mail to the organiser, Ken Stewart. This is important because we have access to the playing venue from 19:00 only, and pairing can be started sooner if all players are already entered in the computer. It is doubly important because entries may be limited (for space reasons), so late entries might have to be refused.

For any further details please contact the organiser.

PS: We have now received 40 entries (the maximum we can accept). Any late entries will be placed on a waiting list.
