The Poly Championship is up and running. 22 players fought out the first round, plus 4 receiving half-point byes. Games largely followed seeding, except for the obligatory youngster's upset. Congrats to him. Good to see so many in the tournament, and may I thank them and everyone else for exemplary behaviour making my first sortie into tournament directing less hazardous than...it will almost certainly become later.
