League Matches: November

GCL & DDCA reports

Glasgow League

In Division 1, Poly A drew a tense match vs Cathcart. It all hinged on the last game to finish, in which Colin McNab had little time and an inferior endgame vs Roddy McKay, but Colin expertly steered it to a draw.

The leaderboard has an unfamiliar look: Bellshill A (5/8 match points), Stepps A (4/6), Poly A (4/6), Hamilton A (4/6), Paisley A (4/6), Cathcart (3/4). Whilst Bellshill have beaten only tail-enders, it is remarkable for a newly-promoted team to have led Division 1 for two months.

In Division 2, Poly B drew with Hamilton B and remain in mid-table. The clear leaders are Dalmuir (7/8).

Dunbartonshire League

In Division 2, Poly Bishops continue to struggle, losing to Dalmuir and Bearsden C. The leaders are EK Rovers (5/6 match points).

In the Knockout, Poly Bishops fared much better, winning on board count vs Bearsden C.
