Dear Members 

Thanks to those of you who replied to the question as to whether or not you’d be prepared to play chess between now and Christmas indoors in the Wellington Church.   Since I asked the question, you will be aware that safety restrictions have been increased. 

I regret that unless there are some radical changes in the pandemic situation, the council have made the difficult decision not to try and arrange over the board chess. This situation will be reviewed in the new year.  

However, do please keep consulting the website for opportunities for online tournaments and avail yourselves of the online opportunities provided by our webmaster, Andy Heron  - have a look at Chess123.uk
