Updating Website 14th June 2019

I have disabled the use of viewing our website in landscape when using a mobile phone. The landscape phone experience was poor. I may come back to this when I have much more time to concentrate on this aspect.

Will be updating desktop and mobile footers as problems with first attempt. Second attempt better, but... more to do. Third attempt at mobile footer. Temp fix.

Some of the pages of the website have three versions. Ideally I need four versions. To deal with tablet having portrait and landscape versions, where the landscape version width has such a large width that it acts like a desktop browser window! An update to foundation framework will be coming this year.

I have only two pages to convert to a CMS. I have started on the Location page.

(Most of the location page converted - including animated title, images of the club, and map, and footer. Only travel information section to convert. Tested on iMac, iPhone, and iPad.)

I will finish with the home page.

Creating a CMS system allows myself or designated others to change/update the content of our website without the need to be a Webmaster. For example, I am editing this blog post on my iPad. The downside of this is that some of the pages may have a different appearance.

SEO Technical note:

Only for web geeks. I have added a canonical url to the blog page! This is not for mortals to see any effect. It is to help Google understand our blog page. For D - this is an example of under-the-hood changes!

Note: Desktop version of history page has extra historical information. Still more to do.
